Rest assured that looking after our clients is of utmost importance to us. We are following government directive and are taking every precaution we can.
In response to recent Government recommendations, we have strict requirements for clients attending appointments. You can read these in full on our Terms & Privacy page.
We will continue to offer online coaching via Zoom as applicable for those who wish to remain in the comfort of their own home during this time.
We offer private dog training services to Melbourne’s people and their dogs. With increasingly longer work hours and busy lifestyles, our clients typically can’t make it to traditional group classes because of aggression, fear, excitability, age, illness, or busy lives. That’s where we come in.
We also love to present dog training seminars and workshops to dog owners, foster carers and veterinary staff. Please check our Facebook page for any upcoming events. To enquire about booking an event, contact Tim at hello@gooddogbehaviour.com.au
We primarily offer private dog training services to the inner Melbourne Metro, including Abbotsford, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Brunswick West, Burnley, Carlton, Carlton North, Clifton Hill, Coburg, Coburg North, Collingwood, Cremorne, East Melbourne, Fitzroy, Fitzroy North, Hawthorn, Kew, Northcote, Preston, Princes Hill, Richmond and Thornbury. If we don’t service your area, we’re happy to offer recommendations of other certified professional trainers that do.
Online sessions are available for out-of-towners. These are conducted over Zoom.
We’re big on finding fun and creative ways to make the learning process enjoyable for both you and your dog. We use primarily reward based, motivational methods based on the scientific principles of learning theory. Just like no two people are the same, no two dogs are the same either meaning, some dogs will go crazy for treats, while others prefer a toy or a game of fetch as a reward. At Good Dog we’ll work collaboratively with you to determine what works best for you, your individual dog, training goals and lifestyle.
This depends on the type of service you’re looking for and what you’d like to get out of the training. Private Coaching starts at $180 for an initial 1.5-hour session. Whereas, Day Training is priced per program. Program options are available for both service offerings.
We accept payments by cash or card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) for your convenience.
Whether you have an 8-week old puppy or an 8-year-old rescue dog, no dog is too young or too old for training. You can (and should) start the training from the minute you bring your puppy home. Conversely, you’ll be amazed what training can do to benefit your older dog’s body and mind.
You should check their pulse right away! No. But really, we’ll help you to work with whatever your dog finds most motivating and rewarding for them.
Due to the many variables involved in training and living with dogs, including owner commitment, consistency and follow-through, it would be unethical for us to offer a 100% guarantee. If you do find a dog trainer who guarantees results (and there are many), you should run very quickly in the opposite direction. Whatever your goals, we’ll give you realistic expectations regarding your dog’s progress so instead of focusing on the “how long”, you’ll be focused on the steps it takes to get you there.
Training sessions are available weekdays and weekends 0800 – 1930.
